I bought the metal gimbals for.my.325e instead of the plastic. Not designed for the 325 but they are easy to modify for personal use. The service is very good at Grado and they shipped the same.day

Gimbal rings easy to replace but all I really needed was one or two of the rubber caps that should keep the vertical bar from sliding and detaching from the mounting block. The original gimbal rings seem to be ok. I did not see the option on the website to buy just those rubber cap parts, which should not cost more than a few bucks, I think.

Thought the metal ring would work on SR325x . No way, cut off the lower part of the ring and it seems to be working fine
Hi Dennis, I'm sorry for the confusion but we do state on the product pages the models that the metal gimbal works with. Prestige Series headphones such as the SR325 use the plastic gimbal.
Sorry, They just don‘t fit to my RS1. Poor!

I'm not sure if you have the correct product but the Metal gimbal is the correct gimbal for an RS1 model that has been produced for the last 20+ years. You will need to remove the cushion to get the gimbal over the housing. If you're still having a problem please me a video at rgrado@gradolabs.mom.
